Semi-Private Fight Fitness Training in Minnesota
How semi-private fight fitness training works in Minnesota — group size, cost-sharing, and why it's a strong fit for couples, friends, and small groups.
Semi-private training is one of the most underrated formats in fight fitness. You get most of the focused-coaching benefit of a private session, but the cost is split across a small group you already know. For couples, friends, or small training groups in Minnesota, it's often the best value in the entire menu.
How semi-private works
A semi-private session is booked as a single appointment with a flat group price, not per person. The whole group shares the session length — 60, 90, or 120 minutes — and the coach designs the work so everyone is moving. You bring the people. The group price stays the same whether you bring 2 or 6.
That last part matters: because the price is a flat group total, adding people lowers everyone's effective cost. Two friends pay half each, four friends pay a quarter each, and so on.
Why it works for fight fitness
Fight fitness — striking, pad work, conditioning rounds, defensive movement — scales well to a small group. You can rotate through pads, partner up for drills, and run conditioning circuits that wouldn't be possible solo. A small group also keeps the energy up without the chaos of a full class.
The coaching attention stays high because the group is small. The coach can still correct your stance, your kick, your guard, in a way a 20-person class can't.
Who it fits
Semi-private training in Minnesota tends to be a great fit for:
- Couples who want to train together
- Friend groups who want a shared activity that isn't a bar
- Small workplace teams looking for off-site training
- Families with adult kids or siblings who want to train together
- Existing training partners who want a coached session occasionally
Skill levels in the same session
A common worry is, what if my partner is more athletic than me, or has trained before and I haven't? In a small group that's actually easy to manage. The coach scales drills so each person works at the right level. You might be holding pads for them on one round and they hold for you on the next, and both rounds are useful.
How to book it
Pick the semi-private length you want — 60, 90, or 120 minutes — and book a time. You don't have to know exactly who is coming when you book; you just need to be the one booking and bringing the group up to the listed maximum. Everyone in the group will be asked to accept the waiver as part of the intake.
